Volumetric feeders offer a low cost and easy to use option for batch or continuous applications when the bulk density of the material being fed is consistent or when precise feed accuracy is not quality of the end product. There are single and twin screw volumetric feeders. Twin screw volumetric feeder is designed to provide volumetric feeding program for a wide variety of materials including poor flowing powders, fibers and flakes. All material contact parts are stainless steel. The feeder is easily disassembled for cleaning and change over. The horizontal agitator improves material fill of the screw flights. The design allows material to flow evenly from all directions into the screw and effectively avoids material build-up, making feeding more accurate. An optional vertical agitator is available for the extension hopper for poor flowing powders that tend toward bridging. The improved screw is easily installed and disassembled, and the root of the screw doesn’t allow material to pile up.
